Quick note from the studio!
Right at the end year I just finished tracking the drums in the studio for a new full length album. 12 songs in two and a half days! ( it’s so nice to work with pros 🙂
This time ’round the “songwriter suspects” are David Reece, Martin Kronlund, Tommy Denander, Andy Susimihl, Brynn Arens among others.
the album’s due in April 2011.
Martin Kronlund, known for producing bands like FM and Phenomena (and then some) will do the honours for this one, too. It’s gonna be one to watch out for 🙂
A lot of song, a lot of big chorusses, quite some musicianship as well, great diversity stylewise, wrapped in a huge production…. what more do we want, huh?
The drums are again recorded at my good friend Jean-Pierre’s Artsound Studio in Belgium: please feel free to CHECK THAT OUT!!
I’ve attached a couple of pics…
I wish you all my best, a bonne Noell and a happy healthy and musical new year!!! Because music ís the doctor.

Quick note from the Road
Hi all,
The crazy times we live in, huh?
In the morning I’m at home in the Netherlands and in the evening I’m playing the Rock at Sea Fest going from Stockholm, Sweden to Helsinki, Finland and back and be back home just in time for tea 😉 ….That was last week….
Yesterday we drove up to Gøtenborg, Sweden where I’m now. Driving thru a snow storm in Denmark where we saw at least five big trucks in the ditch because of the snow. Because I’m writing you it’s probably needless to say we made it. Right?
Tonight, with David Reece’s Bangalore Choir, were gonna rock Gøtenborg, the Back Stage Bar. Talking bout Rock ‘n’ Roll? I get a kick out of this!
All my best,
Hans in ’t Zandt

Keep your fingers crossed for us, please. 🙂
All my best,

Message from Wacken
Hans just sent this message from Wacken where he performed with Mad Max:
New Mad Max album Welcome America released
Hi there,
just wanted to let you know that the new Mad Max album Welcome America is released. The title was chosen because of the warm welcome we received when we played at the 2009 Rocklahoma fest.
